Athletics Overview
Pope Saint John Paul II noted that "sports contribute to the love of life, teach sacrifice, respect, and responsibility, and ultimately lead to the full development of every human person." With this in mind, Father John V. Doyle School strives to offer a full athletic program supported entirely by community volunteers. These volunteers give their time and talent to the students and are a tremendous gift and a blessing to the students and to the mission of Father John V. Doyle School.
Father John V. Doyle School is a member of the Catholic Athletic League(CAL) which provides students the opportunities to participate and compete in a number of sports throughout the school year. Please note, in order to offset equipment, uniform, and registration costs, there is a $55.00 per student fee to participate on each athletic team.
Coaches for all programs are required to be certified through the Catholic Athletic League pass a National BCI(background check). Additionally, all coaches are required to complete a Safe Schools Training Presentation AND Play Like a Champion Today(PLACT) Seminar before being accepted as a coach at Father John V. Doyle.
